Sebastopol’s (Curly feathered) - VERY limited availability
Chinese x Emden mixes - expect these babies to be white/black or brown/black/white
All have great dispositions and are very hardy! ᵕ̈
Some more info about the breeds:
Sebastopols (On Livestock Conservancy List) - breed known for its long, soft, curly feathers that drape from its body. Ornamental bird - VERY docile. I have white, lavender, buff and grey.
Emden x Chinese will inherit the characteristics of both of these breeds;
Emden - Large breed from Germany - known for its size and calm temperament. White plumage with blue eyes. Hardy & excellent foragers.
Chinese - Known as the “Swan Goose” - Large long necked goose native to East Asia. They have a knob on the top of their head which gives them their distinct look. Great foragers and excellent “watchdogs”. My gander is a white Chinese that carries the white as a recessive, allowing goslings hatched from him to inherit the brown Chinese coloring as well.
*** All goslings sold as straight run. DNA testing is available. Please contact me for a quote. ***I do enforce a 2 waterfowl minimum. Please be sure to add at least 2 waterfowl to your cart. You can combine breeds, as long as the total equals at least 2 waterfowl(ducklings or goslings).
I hold goslings for a minimum of 24 hours after hatching to assure all are in good health. I will not send a gosling that has any sort of indication of a problem/issue. All goslings leave in good health. With that being said, I am not responsible for the goslings once they leave my care. I give literature on how to provide for them & I am always happy to help/answer questions/give recommendations - but at the end of the day it is up to you to do your research prior to making this commitment.
