The Bent Feather began in 2023 with a simple love for poultry and a deep fascination with egg color. I’m Cassie, and what started for me as a small backyard flock has been carefully curated over time into the rainbow layers I’m proud to offer today. I now sell vibrant hatching eggs, chicks, goslings, and more to help others build beautiful, healthy flocks of their own.

I’m a mother of three and enjoy crocheting, hand embroidery, and reading whenever I find a quiet moment. I also have a deep love for flowers and nature and find a lot of joy in growing and harvesting flowers and vegetables alongside our animals. Farming, much like motherhood, gardening, and crafting, has taught me patience, intention, and the value of doing things thoughtfully and with care.

At The Bent Feather, my goal is to be more than just a place to purchase poultry. I hope to become a lasting resource where people feel comfortable learning and asking questions. I am especially passionate about poultry genetics and love helping others understand egg color, breeding choices, and how good husbandry supports a thriving flock.
